While Fox sci-fi freshman Dollhouse and sophomore Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles await their pickup fate, Fox has gone ahead and announced a 22-episode season two order for Fringe.
The move comes as series creators J.J. Abrams, Roberto Orci and Alex Kurtzman of Bad Robot are less than a week away from watching their Star Trek film hit theaters. Not to mention a little show called co-created by Abrams’, Lost, is building towards its season five finale. Clearly times are good and champagne is flowing at Bad Robot.
The Fringe season one finale is set to air on May 12. Speaking of season one, Amazon.com is already taking pre-orders for the set with an as-of-yet announced release date (re: will be timed with the season two premiere on Fox).
