Theatrical percussion is coming to Blu-ray in a big way when STOMP Live hits store shelves on January 27.
This is the same performance being released December 16 on DVD which brings together 8 performers from the West End, New York and Vegas for the very first time where the group originated: Brighton Dome.
The show is broken into three main sequences: “Hands and Feet” with many objects used to play the rhythms; “Suspension” where the entire set becomes the instrument; and “Bins,” STOMP’s signature ten-minute climax using trash-cans, oil drums and plastic drums.
STOMP will be presented in a widescreen 1080p format with some form of Dolby Digital audio. Additional information is not known at this time.
