What do you think might happen by smashing together Marvel Comics and Robot Chicken? The answer is a little bit of bad and an ego to boost.
Hulu has officially announced a May 21st, 2021 release date for all 10 episodes of their original series Marvel’s M.O.D.O.K. starring the voice of Patton Oswalt at the infamous big-headed and virtually all-head villain.
Unlike what you’re accustomed to seeing from Marvel, this series is presented old school in stop-motion animation and great toward adults rather than general audiences. Even the first trailer shared below has a severed limb and blood, or at least a ketchup-like substance filling in as blood.
Marvel describes this off-the-wall comedy as follows:
“In Marvel’s M.O.D.O.K., the megalomaniacal supervillain M.O.D.O.K. has long pursued his dream of one day conquering the world. But after years of setbacks and failures fighting the Earth’s mightiest heroes, M.O.D.O.K. has run his evil organization A.I.M. into the ground. Ousted as A.I.M.’s leader, while also dealing with his crumbling marriage and family life, the Mental Organism Designed Only for Killing is set to confront his greatest challenge yet!”
Joining Oswalt in the cast are Melissa Fumero, Aimee Garcia, Wendi McLendon-Covey, Ben Schwartz, Beck Bennett, Jon Daly and Sam Richardson.
