MacGillivray Freeman’s We, The Marines with narration by Gene Hackman is coming to home video in a big way courtesy of Shout! Factory on December 11th.
We, The Marines will be released on the 4K Ultra HD format with inclusive Blu-ray and Digital HD versions as well. This marks the 10th 4K Ultra HD release from the studio.
What makes this particular release special from a technology standpoint is it marks the first 4K release from Shout! Factory to include HDR10+ in addition to HDR10. The HDR10+ technology is the upgraded version of HDR10 designed to compete with Dolby Vision.
We, The Marines was originally produced for permanent exhibition in the Giant-Screen Medal of Honor Theater at the National Museum of the Marine Corps. This release marks its first presentation outside that venue.
