Lionsgate Home Entertainment has announced a March 6th release date for writer/director Greta Gerwig’s Lady Bird starring Saoirse Ronan on Blu-ray, DVD and Digital.
Lady Bird has been a critical darling with five Academy Award nominations including Best Picture and Best Director. The Best Director nod is especially impressive considering this is Greta Gerwig’s directorial debut.
Despite its critical acclaim, the Lady Bird home video release will only include a pair of bonus features. Thankfully one of those is a feature-length commentary with Greta Gerwig and Cinematographer Sam Levy. The other is a “Realizing Lady Bird” featurette.
The Lady Bird Blu-ray features 5.1 DTS-HD Master Audio and will include the DVD and Digital HD versions in a combo pack. A 4K UHD Blu-ray release is not planned at this time.
