Ubisoft has delivered over five minutes of new gameplay footage for their Wii U exclusive launch title ZombieU in addition to a handful of new high resolution screenshots, as part of the game’s debut at Comic-Con 2012 in San Diego.
The first gameplay footage segment is set on the grounds of Buckingham Palace where zombies are on the prowl. Here you will get to see the Wii U controller used for item selection, scope targeting from a crossbow, and scanning nearby objects. It appropriately ends with some grotesque Palace Guards looking for a quick chomp.
Switching gears in a big way, the second segment takes place in a children’s nursery or preschool with somber reminders of what the place once was. Here the Wii U controller is used to pick a door lock, as a map to navigate air conditioning ducts, and to pick through a survival pack found on the ground. This video ends with a zombie grabbing the protagonist as he tries to escape through a duct, triggering a cut-scene.
