We’ve got the first batch of MotorStorm 2 (tentative title) PS3 screenshots to share along with a single observation. Is this MotorStorm’s universe or Far Cry reincarnated?
Judging by these early screens, Sony appears to have outdone themselves after the gorgeous southwestern canyons that helped bring the original Playstation 3 exclusive MotorStorm to life. There is lush, dense foilage everywhere that you’d expect to see a Lost castaway or agitated T-Rex run out from at any moment.
These screens also offer the first glimpse at the all-new monster truck vehicle type. Sony wasn’t kidding when they said this bad boy would be able to literally run over the competition. An unfortunate bike rider is seen looking up at the wrong end of an airborne fat wheeler. Ouch.
Hopefully the next batch of screenshots will show off what the coastline of this remote Pacific island looks like when the vehicles emerge from the jungle. Maybe the race will take to the beach and into the surf’s edge.
