Earlier today EA Sports announced Larry Fitzgerald of the Arizona Cardinals and Troy Polamalu of the Pittsburgh Steelers would inherit the Madden cover curse by, for the first time in the series’ history, sharing the cover for Madden NFL 10.
Following up that announcement are the first five screenshots snapped from the Xbox 360 and PS3 version of the game. No surprise Fitz and Polamalu are all over the screens of what looks like yet another next-gen Madden entry.
Maybe the combined retirement of John Madden from broadcasting combined with two athletes on the cover will shatter the dreaded curse. The Cardinals better hope so because without Fitz, Kurt Warner will spend half the season picking himself off the turf.
