Bethesda Softworks has announced an October 9, 2012 release date for the Arkane Studios supernatural asssassin game Dishonored on Xbox 360, Playstation 3 and PC.
In addition to the release date announcement, Bethesda has passed along the finalized Dishonored box art and a handful of new screenshots. In the screens you’ll get a good taste of the steampunk-inspired design that went into the watery city of Dunwall where the game takes place. You’ll also get a glimpse of the Tallboys patrolling Dunwall who will prove to be formidable foes.
As Corvo, an assassin framed for a crime he didn’t commit, you’ll use a combination of supernatural powers and gadgetry to eliminate foes and take down a corrupt government. Arkane promises there’s more to Corvo’s backstory and powers than meets the eye.
