What We Do In The Shadows jumps across the pond from Australia to Staten Island, New York in its move from the movies to a television series.
Where the movie focused on three vampires and their familiars in an Australian apartment, the FX TV series puts four centuries old vampires into a New York apartment. The vampires will also be joined by their familiars, humans entrusted with taking care of their immortals during daylight hours.
The setup for the 10-episode first season of What We Do In The Shadows begins when Baron Afanas, the vampire Dark Lord, pays the Staten Island vampires a visit and reminds them of their mission to take over the New World.
Cameras follow along documentary-style as the vampires try to figure out how to comply with Baron Afanas’ wishes. Hilarity of all sorts ensues when these vampires take Staten Island by storm in their own unique way.
New episodes of What We Do In The Shadows will premiere in the same 10/9c time slot on FX Network each Wednesday night for the next 10 weeks.
