Last week’s episode of AMC’s The Walking Dead took a turn into another corner of the apocalypse as Beth awoke in a downtown Atlanta, Georgia hospital and met a slew of new cast members. The Walking Dead Season 5 will shift gears once again tonight with episode 505, ‘Self Help,’ as the focus shifts to Abraham and his splintered group’s mission north toward Washington, D.C. Tonight’s new TWD episode will be able to watch online free streaming as well as live on AMC TV.
Beth woke up in the hospital beyond the reach of walkers, but she was anything but safe in her new surroundings. Beth soon realized that those in charge of the hospital, a small group of police officers, expected payment in the form of services for anything they offered — including room and board.
The more days Beth spends in the hospital the more she realizes she needs to leave, especially with a perverted cop making disgusting sexual advances toward her. With the help of Noah, a janitor who also wants out, the pair make a daring escape through an elevator shaft, but Beth is captured before she can get beyond the hospital fence.
For her “crime” of trying to escape, Beth is beaten and pushed into a new frame of mind where she’s willing to do whatever it takes to get out. Just when it looks like she’s about to attack the cops with a knife, a bruised and unconscious Carol is wheeled into the hospital and Beth’s response is to rethink her plan.
Tonight’s new The Walking Dead episode turns the focus to the bus that Abraham, his group, Tara, Glenn and Maggie left on. We already know this bus will crash based on promos, and the group will confront many dangers in the hour ahead.
