'The Mandalorian': How to Watch Season 1 Episode 1 Online

The top Disney+ (Disney Plus) original series draw The Mandalorian officially launches with the hyped platform this morning at 6 am ET on November 12th. Only The Mandalorian Season 1 Episode 1 will be available to watch as Disney Plus won’t be adopting the binge method for their originals as pioneered by Netflix.

While many big Star Wars and Disney fans have already pre-ordered Disney+ for up to three years via special incentives, many others are still on the fence about putting down $6.99 a month for a new streaming service. If you want to give Disney+ and The Mandalorian a try for free then you’re in luck.

Disney+ Free Trial

Disney is currently offering a 7-day free trial of Disney+ starting immediately. With this free trial you can watch The Mandalorian Season 1 episodes for free within the free trial window. Then once the trial is complete you can decide whether to pay $6.99 a month to continue or cancel and pay nothing.

Disney is also offering an option for $69.99 a year that drops the price down to $5.84 a month, over a dollar a month less than going month-to-month.

Look for the Disney+ app to show up on a variety of devices including Xbox and Playstation gaming consoles; LG, Samsung and Sony TVs, and Amazon Fire and Fire Stick. You’ll need to install the latest update to have the Disney+ app appear after registering your account and free trial.

The Mandalorian Episode 1 Preview

Jon Favreau and Dave Filoni’s The Mandalorian is set approximately five years after the fall of the Empire in Star Wars: Return of the Jedi.

In the Outer Rim a lone gunslinger, the titular character played by Pedro Pascal, works as a bounty hunter. The premiere episode will see the Mandalorian chasing a bounty that can be cashed in for a reward.

I’d put the odds at highly favorable that he’ll successfully catch his bounty by the episode’s conclusion.
