A new familiar face and his trusty sidekick showed up on the previous episode of Star Wars: The Bad Batch on Disney+. When the Empire had seemingly let Omega and Hunter slip through their fingers, Cad Bane returned after over a decade’s absence to beat Hunter in a draw and snatch Omega for the bounty on her head.

Star Wars: The Bad Batch Episode 9 Preview
The direction of The Bad Batch dramatically shifted with the arrival of Cad Bane and his droid, Todo 360. Hunter has been wounded and Omega is off to whomever is paying a high bounty for her.
Could it be the Kaminoans? The Empire? A third party? We should find out soon enough as Clone Force 99 will be in hot pursuit of their newest and youngest member.
This narrative shift may also shed some light into what makes Omega so special, apart from being a clone. She’s clearly been genetically altered. But to what degree? And will her future tie into what we know about the early Empire days and rise of the Rebellion?
