Star Wars Rebels isn’t scheduled to bring the Force back to TV screens and premiere until August. You can get an extended sneak peek of the series premiere in the form of the first seven minutes tonight as Disney XD airs a slate of Star Wars-inspired programming capped by the Rebels sneak peek. Update: the first seven minutes of Star Wars Rebels is ready to watch in the embedded YouTube player below.
The event starts at 7/6c with a Star Wars-themed episode of Kickin’ It on Disney XD. That will be followed by Phineas and Ferb: Star Wars from 7:30-8:30pm, with the Star Wars Rebels first seven minutes immediately after Phineas and Ferb wrap up their adventure inspired by a galaxy far, far away.
Star Wars Rebels stars the voice talent of Freddie Prinze Jr., Steve Blum, Taylor Gray, Vanessa Marshall, David Oyelowo, Tiya Sircar, and Greg Ellis. Expect some of the voice talent from Star Wars: The Clone Wars to cameo as well if the sighting of Obi-Wan Kenobi in the Star Wars Rebels Comic-Con trailer is any indication.
Here’s the first seven minutes of Star Wars Rebels featuring the introduction of Ezra, a young thief on the planet Lothal, and his first eventful meeting with Kanan and a band of rebels.
The one-hour Star Wars Rebels premiere will air at an unknown date in October exclusively on Disney Channel. Additional episodes will then shift to Disney XD.
