Step right up to the tent and prepare to enter another wickedly twisted season of American Horror Story on FX Network with tonight’s premiere of American Horror Story: Freak Show (not freakshow, which isn’t a word). As with previous seasons of AHS, you will be able to watch Freak Show online streaming with a provider login or by purchasing episodes a-la-carte, but there is no legal live free online streaming option available. Regardless, expect big ratings from the series premiere.
Freak Show is technically the fourth season of the horror anthology from Ryan Murphy and Falchuk that stars many familiar faces from past seasons in new roles. The season is set in Jupiter, Florida in the year 1952 where one of the last remaining freak shows in North America is still in operation — barely. The seemingly grotesque members of the freak show will do anything to stay employed, while the outside world fails to understand them.
Jessica Lange plays Elsa Mars, leader of the freak show troupe who finds herself under and immeasurable amount of pressure to keep the operation afloat. Other returning cast members include Emma Roberts as a fortune teller, Evan Peters as the lobster boy, Sarah Paulson as a woman with two heads, Wes Bentley as the two-faced man, and Kathy Bates as a bearded woman, among others.
Michael Chiklis joins the AHS family playing the world’s strongest man. How strong, you wonder? We’ll have to wait to find out. Personally I’d love to see him lift up something so ridiculously heavy that it pales in comparison to a woman with two talking heads. Then there’s Twisty the Clown, a murderous painted freak, for lack of a better term, who is easily the favorite to terrorize dreams after the series premiere.

Tonight’s American Horror Story: Freak Show series premiere ‘Monsters Among Us’ premieres only on FX in full high definition (HD) at a start time of 10/9c. FX offers free online streaming versions of each American Horror Story episode the day after they air at the official FX video on demand (VOD) streaming website here for a limited time that can be viewed on a computer, mobile phone, tablet/iPad or any Internet enabled and connected device. It’s not watching American Horror Story: Coven online free streaming live, but is the next best thing.
