The Walking Dead Season 6 Series Regulars Adds Three to the Ranks

The Walking Dead Season 6 series regulars club will eclipse last season’s enrollment with three recurring characters introduced a year ago officially getting promoted earlier today.

Per The Hollywood Reporter, AMC and showrunner Scott M. Gimple have picked up the options on Tovah Feldshuh (Deanna Monroe), Alexandra Breckenridge (Jessie Anderson) and Austin Nichols (Spencer Monroe) to become series regulars. They join Lennie James (Morgan) as new additions to the series regular list.

Deanna, Jessie and her son, Spencer, were introduced in the back half of Season 5 as denizens of Alexandria. Their promotion promises the series will spend a considerable amount of time in Alexandria this season, or the trio will follow Rick Grimes (Andrew Lincoln) out in the wild.

Morgan returned to the series late in Season 5 after having been enlightened by events yet to be told. He arrived at Alexandria in the final scene just as Rick had committed a barbaric act in the name of revenge and the arm of justice.

With these four additions, The Walking Dead expands its series regulars list to 18 for the upcoming season or one more than last season’s previous record. The odds of at least one of them being offed in the upcoming season sit somewhere in the neighborhood of 100 percent.
