FX has released new TV spots for the upcoming Guillermo del Toro and Carlton Cuse series The Strain, timed to lead into the series premiere next month on the cable network.
The first of four The Strain TV spots is titled ‘Metamorphosis’ and takes a gruesome look into how the ancient vampire virus takes over its victims and changes them into modern day monsters. It ends with a chilling shot of a young girl that has been presumably infected, with her back to the camera as she’s approached from behind.
The other three spots share some imagery and offer a deeper glimpse into a frightening world where vampirism is spreading and the CDC Canary team in NYC is scrambling to solve the crisis and save everyone. It started with a gruesome discovery on flight 753 and quickly spiraled out of control once the vampire virus began to spread.
The Strain stars David Bradley and Anne Betancourt, and will premiere on FX on Sunday, July 13 at 10/9c.
