Jon Faveau and Lucasfilm have previously confirmed that production on The Mandalorian Season 3 would begin shortly after The Book of Boba Fett, which is currently shooting, comes to a close.
In regards to an an actual start date, Journalist Herb Scribner spotted an updated listing at productionlist.com signaling that shooting on Season 3 will get underway on April 5th, 2021. That’s a Monday in case you were wondering.
This date jives with the information we’ve already been fed but should still be taken as a rumor until Lucasfilm, Disney or another official source confirms it or says otherwise.
The Book of Boba Fett is already locked into a December 2021 release date exclusively on Disney+.
The Mandalorian Season 3 will follow shortly after that spin-off series wraps up, speculatively sometime in March 2022.
