A mythical creature lures Claire Danes to a small town in Apple’s new series The Essex Serpent. Tom Hiddleston co-stars in this historical drama with a side dose of lurking sea serpent myth.
The The Essex Serpent premiere spanned the first two episodes, debuting Friday, May 13th 2022 at or around midnight ET on the Apple+ streaming app. Additional The Essex Serpent episodes starting with Episode 3 and through Episode 6, the finale, will premiere on each subsequent Friday.

Apple TV+ shared the following The Essex Serpent official description for the 2022 limited series.
“London widow Cora Seaborne moves to Essex to investigate reports of a mythical serpent. She forms a surprising bond of science and skepticism with the local vicar-but when tragedy strikes, locals accuse her of attracting the creature.”
The first three episodes are titled The Blackwater, Matter of the Heart, and Falling.
Starring in The Essex Serpent along with Claire Danes and Tom Hiddleston are Frank Dillane, Clemense Poesy, Hayley Squires, and Dixie Egerickx.
