Villains are in the spotlight for a new LEGO Ninjago: Dragons Rising Season 1 Part 2 trailer that dropped early Tuesday. Some you have seen before, like Empress Beatrix. Others, like the Bong King and his minions, have only been seen in toy form previously.
The Bone King’s inclusion immediately canonizes the Core LEGO Ninjago wave that was released on January 1st, 2023. This wave featured the Bone King and his skeletal army as the villains in what at the time was marketed as a wave of toys separate from the Ninjago: Dragons Rising series.
However, the inclusion of Jay’s Titan Mech in the Ninjago: Dragons Rising premiere episode cracked the door for more sets and/or characters from the Core wave(s) to appear in the series. That’s exactly what’s happened with the Bone King.
