The 2021 Stellar Gospel Music Awards returned in person this year to the Schermerhorn Symphony Center in Nashville, Tennessee. It will broadcast to the public on BET, BET HER and BET Gospel at 8/7c on Sunday, August 1st after being recorded live on July 10th.

Stellar Awards Preview
This year’s Stellar Awards by BET is hosted by Jekalyn Carr, no stranger to Stellar Awards wins, and Tye Tribbett.
In addition to Carr and Tribbett, on-stage performances will also come from Tamela Mann, Hezekiah Walker, Jonathan McReynolds, Maverick City Music, CeCe Winans, J.J. Hairston, Pastor Mike Jr., and Jason Clayborn.

“The Stellar Awards not only recognizes the year’s best performances in the genre, but honors Gospel music icons and those who have been instrumental in advocating for the gospel industry. Top nominees for this year’s ceremony include Anthony Brown & group therAPy, Kierra Sheard, Maverick City Music, and Pastor Mike, Jr., each receiving seven nominations, including a nod each for Artist of the Year.”
In what’s always a touching moment, look for Toyota to present the Aretha Franklin Icon Award to Lady Tramaine Hawkins.
