‘Stranger Things’ Season 3 Trailer: The Kids are Growing Up

When we first met Stranger Things‘ Mike, Will, Lucas and Dustin, the four best friends were playing a Dungeons & Dragons board game in Mike’s basement with no idea of the horror and blessing about to invade their lives.

If there’s one point driven home in Netflix’s new Stranger Things Season 3 trailer, it’s that these kids are no longer kids. They’re teens now and beginning to explore life beyond the basement; for better or worse.

Set during the summer of 1985, Stranger Things Season 3 brings more terror and danger to Hawkins, Indiana as Mike and his friends discover the wonders of hanging out at the local mall.

The trailer cleverly uses a remixed version of The Who’s 1971 song ‘Baba O’Riley’ which is best known for the lyric, “teenage wasteland.” The song’s theme fits the trailer to a tee.

Stranger Things Season 3 will premiere on July 4th, a date momentously marked in the trailer as well.
