‘Stranger Things’ Season 3 Story Trailer Reveals Threats Old and New

Netflix has dropped a second Stranger Things Season 3 trailer that adds spoiler-ish story elements lacking from the first.

If the trailer’s edit isn’t deliberately serving scoops of misdirection then it appears the Mindflayer, Season 2’s big bad villain, was locked in our world when Eleven painfully sealed the gateway in the finale.

Needing a host, the Mindflayer just might take up residence inside Billy’s body. Imagine the possibilities with that and Karen Wheeler’s cougar crush.

Twists and turns will eventually lead us to newly constructed Starcourt Mall where an imminent final battle between the forces of kids and evil will undoubtedly lead to significant remodeling.

Here’s the new Stranger Things Season 3 synopsis followed by the story trailer.

“It’s 1985 in Hawkins, Indiana, and summer’s heating up. School’s out, there’s a brand new mall in town, and the Hawkins crew are on the cusp of adulthood. Romance blossoms and complicates the group’s dynamic, and they’ll have to figure out how to grow up without growing apart. Meanwhile, danger looms. When the town’s threatened by enemies old and new, Eleven and her friends are reminded that evil never ends; it evolves. Now they’ll have to band together to survive, and remember that friendship is always stronger than fear.”
