With production on Strangers Things 4 rolling along, Netflix thought a year since the first pre-pandemic teaser was a long enough wait to surprise fans with a second.
Rather than return to a snowy Russia, this second Stranger Things Season 4 teaser turns back the clock to when a younger Eleven (Millie Bobby Brown) and other child subjects were still being experimented on by Dr. Brenner (Matthew Modine).
The teaser specifically asks, from Dr. Brenner’s perspective, whether Eleven is listening or not. To what is anyone’s best guess, though it is entirely possible that we’re witnessing a small piece of the Mind Flayer’s origin story.
Netflix has labeled this new Stranger Things Season 4 teaser 002/004 so expect two more to drop sometime in the future, hopefully less than a year from now. Don’t expect Season 4 to roll around until sometime in 2022.
