The Strain Season Finale Spoilers: FX Releases ‘The Master’ Synopsis

The Strain Season Finale Spoilers

Last night on The Strain we got our first clear look at The Master without a heavy cloak masking his face. It took a trip back to 1944 to facilitate the gnarly reveal and equally disturbing creation of vampire Eichorst, but you can bet there’s plenty more of The Master to come in New York City as the “virus” spreads.

FX has released the first The Strain season finale spoilers in the form of a brief synopsis. It reads, “Eph and Fet recon for an all-out assault that Setrakian assures them will finally kill the Master. Gus aligns himself with a strange new force, one that may swing the fight in an unforeseen direction.”

The Strain season finale is titled, ‘The Master,’ so I would expect Setrakian’s band of heroes to either encounter The Master for the first time or at least learn of his precise whereabouts. Right now The Master is nesting and hasn’t been seen in NYC since the first couple episodes. Let’s hope Carlton Cuse and Guillermo del Toro have saved up the visual effects budget for an epic finale.

It’s nice to see that Gus will get more involved as Season 1 of The Strain winds down. He parted ways with his junkie brother last night by popping several bullets into his head, a clean release from the vampirism that had taken him over. Now Gus is free from the authorities, knows some nastiness is going down, and knows what the source of it is. I’d like to see him meet up with the mysterious antihero vampires.

The Strain season finale will air on Sunday, October 5 at 9/8c.
