With the Star Wars: The Bad Batch Season 1 finale looming, Lucasfilm and Disney have formally announced a second season is coming in 2022.
It’s quite common in animation for a series like The Bad Batch to have two seasons produced up-front in order to minimize costs. The second season could already be in the can or close to completion.
When exactly The Bad Batch Season 2 drops in 2022 remains to be seen. It would make sense for Lucasfilm and Disney to roll it out after The Book of Boba Fett finishes up its first season run sometime in the spring.
The Season 1 finale of The Bad Batch will premiere this upcoming Friday on August 13th to complete the Return to Kamino story started in the penultimate episode.
