Ezra always seems to get the most difficult jobs on Star Wars Rebels, and in the next episode titled, ‘Breaking Ranks,’ the young informal Padawan goes on his first undercover mission in the heart of the Empire’s military forces.
In a callback to the clone training facilities on Kamino in Attack of the Clones, Ezra has joined a Stormtrooper Imperial Academy on Lothal in order to gain inside access to their facilities. Note that the cloning facilities are no longer in use and apparently the clones themselves have been shutdown, so the Empire recruits children and young adults into its Imperial army.
