The upcoming Star Trek: Prodigy Paramount+ and Nickelodeon series is gearing up to boldly go where no Star Trek entertainment has gone before. That being animation geared toward kids and families, and a crew devoid of a human character — holographic Janeway serving as their guide excluded.
After seeing the crew revealed not too long ago, Paramount took the wraps off the series with a roughly one-minute teaser trailer. It sets the stage with some narrative clues and briefly introduces each character and their voice.
In a nutshell, Dal (Brett Gray) dreams of a future far away from the mining colony he’s destined to spend his entire life working. When he discovers a derelict Starship with Gwyn (Ella Purnell), a plan is set in motion to put together a crew and escape the planet once and for all.
Also starring and comprising the crew are Jason Mantzoukas as argumentative Jankom Pog, Dee Bradley Baker as the difficult to understand blob Murf, Angus Imrie as the body-less Zero, and young petite Rylee Alazraqui as the gargantuan rock being Rok-Tah.
