The New York Comic-Con panel for Star Trek: Discovery provided the perfect opportunity for CBS to unveil a new look at the upcoming season.
Rather than a clip, CBS delivered an extensive Star Trek: Discovery Season 2 trailer that runs the same length as a feature film trailer. That’s fitting because the high production values introduced in Season 1 as equivalent to those found in films remain intact for Season 2.
There are three big revelations for Star Trek fans in the trailer. First, Klingons with hair can be seen following the Season 1 hairless and less nostalgic Klingons with their own agenda.
Speaking of Klingons, you’ll clearly see a fan-favorite D7 class battle cruiser make its debut.
The big stinger comes at the end with the reveal of a young Spock. He doesn’t speak — yet — but it’s great to see a Star Trek legend return.
