‘She-Ra and the Princesses of Power’ Season 3 Coming August 2; Geena Davis Joins Cast

Today Dreamworks Animation and Netflix announced an August 2nd release date for the original series She-Ra and the Princesses of Power from creator Noelle Stevenson and starring Aimee Carrero, Karen Fukuhara, AJ Michalka, and Marcus Scribner.

A little math work calculates that delivers all-new episodes of She-Ra in a little less than three months from now.

In addition to a confirmed release date, Geena Davis has joined the She-Ra cast for Season 3 and will be lending her vocal talents to the new character and foil for Adora, Huntara.

Some of you might be wondering where the heck the rest of She-Ra Season 2 is. That season ran a brisk seven episodes and ended with a pair of cliffhangers dangling in the breeze.

It’s quite obvious that Netflix would rather dole out new episodes more frequently and in smaller batches now that we’re getting a third season only nine months after the first season premiered.

I would be shocked if Season 3 of She-Ra were any longer than the seven episodes comprising Season 2.

The official She-Ra Season 3 release date announcement with a first-look at Huntara is below.
