LucasFilm and Disney have announced that the Obi-Wan Kenobi series coming to Disney+ is about to enter production next month, and they have confirmed the final cast list.
In addition to Ewan McGregor as Obi-Wan “Ben” Kenobi and Hayden Christensen as Darth Vader, Joel Edgerton and Bonnie Piesse will be returning to a galaxy far, far away as Owen and Beru Lars, respectively.
Rounding out the cast are Kumail Nanjiani, Indira Varma, Rupert Friend, O’Shea Jackson Jr., Sung Kang, Simone Kessell and Benny Safdie.
Obi-Wan Kenobi is a limited series that will be directed and overseen by Deborah Chow (The Mandalorian). It is set 10 years after Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith.
Executive producers include Kathleen Kennedy, Michelle Rejwan, Deborah Chow, Ewan McGregor and writer Joby Harold.
The expectation is for Obi-Wan Kenobi to premiere exclusively on Disney+ sometime in 2022.
