As promised the Ninjago Comic-Con panel delivered the first 2019 details for the venerable and widely beloved animated LEGO animated series.
A four-episode special arc is currently in production that will take Ninjago: Masters of Spinjitzu to the coveted 100th episode including the two pilot episodes. No mention of Season 10 was made during the panel so unless someone connected to LEGO says otherwise, consider this four-part arc a special like Day of the Departed and not a full new season.
Bragi F. Schut, who worked with Dan Hageman and Kevin Hageman on Ninjago Seasons 8 and 9, is confirmed to have written all four currently 2019 known Ninjago episodes. The Hageman brothers were present in the story room. Ninjago veteran Peter Hausner directs.
Ninjago producer and Comic-Con panel moderator Tommy Andreasen shared a short in-progress clip from the Ninjago 100th episode for the audience and it has since been shared online. The clip reveals the symbol he’s been teasing on Twitter over the past week is the Ninjago equivalent of a wedding ring with Jay working up the courage to ask Nya to be the Yang to his Ying.
