The official Twitter account for Marvel and Netflix’s recently renewed Jessica Jones series released a not-so-cryptic image yesterday that blatantly reveals what month we can expect the upcoming Luke Cage series starring Mike Colter to premiere.
The image features several of Jessica’s scattered case files across a desk along with a drink glass, camera and pen. The first file folder is labeled, “Cage – November” with the first word highlighted in pink.
We already know that the Marvel and Netflix series Daredevil will premiere its second season on March 18th of this year. Luke Cage has been in production for some time already and was expected to debut later this year. November is the same month that Jessica Jones premiered late last year so it makes perfect sense to slot in Luke Cage roughly a year later.
Next year’s Marvel on Netflix slate is still a little foggy, so to speak. The only 100 percent confirmed series right now is Jessica Jones: Season 2. Netflix has commented that Iron Fist is currently casting but any kind of official production date remains elusive. There’s still a chance that Daredevil might score a third season to debut in 2017 if Season 2 resonates with audiences and brings in more Netflix subscriptions.
For now feel confident that Luke Cage will return to the small screen this November for his solo outing.
