Netflix Iron Fist: Danny Rand Hurting in New Set Pics

It’s easy to forget about Marvel and Netflix’s Iron Fist with Luke Cage and his invincible skin debuting in only four weeks time. The presumptive next New York superhero series has been in production for months and every now and then a new sneak peek from the on-location sets makes its way online.

The latest inside look at the production from showrunner Scott Buck (Dexter, Six Feet Under) features the show’s namesake, Danny Rand (Finn Jones), wounded and bloody on a street corner. He appears to have sustained an injury on his right midsection nasty enough to force him off his feet.

Iron Fist will delve much deeper into mystical and spiritual elements that the second season of Daredevil scratched the surface of with the introduction of The Hand. More importantly it is the final solo Marvel superhero series on Netflix before The Defenders arrives where Daredevil, Jessica Jones, Luke Cage and Iron Fist team up to fight a threat requiring all of their abilities to defeat. If we’re lucky The Punisher will join the party as well.

The expected Netflix Iron Fist release date is sometime in the spring of 2017 with The Defenders dropping later on in the year.
