The first clip from Marvel’s Agent Carter TV series on ABC that bridges the gap between the first and second parts of Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. TV series opens a window into the life of a secretive secret agent while offering a reminder of a memory from Peggy Carter’s past.
In the clip, we get a peek into Peggy’s (Hayley Atwell) home life as she gets ready for a day of work at the telephone company. Or at least that’s what her unknowing roommate (Ashley Hinshaw) thinks as Peggy quietly loads her hidden pistol and tucks it into her purse. As we already know, Peggy is actually an agent working for the S.S.R. and a founding member of S.H.I.E.L.D.
As you watch the Agent Carter clip 1 below, pay attention to the beginning where a red dress is seen sitting on a stool. That’s the same dress Peggy wore in her first and only date with Steve Rogers (Chris Evans) in Captain America: The First Avenger. It’s a reminder of what could have been but ultimately was destined to never become.
The two-hour Agent Carter premiere is set for Tuesday, January 6 at 8pm EST. The series will span a total of eight episodes.
