Power-Con 2019 this past weekend didn’t deliver an official She-Ra and the Princesses of Power Season 4 renewal from Netflix. It did provide something that no one saw coming.
Netflix has announced that filmmaker Kevin Smith and Marc Bernardin, a journalist-turned-writer, are working on a new He-Man series for the streaming platform.
The series is titled Masters of the Universe: Revelation and is being billed as a direct sequel to the original 1980’s cartoon. It will purportedly feature the potential final confrontation between He-Man and his nemesis Skeletor.
Unresolved storylines will be brought back in this new iteration of Masters of the Universe that will be animated by Powerhouse Animation, the studio behind Netflix’s Castlevania series. The poster seen below directly bills the series as “anime.”

The announcement begs more questions than it offers and is merely meant as an early tease. For now just know that Masters of the Universe: Revelation is coming and hopefully we get a first look beyond the teaser poster above sooner rather than later.
