Sunday night means another new episode of AMC’s Fear the Walking Dead, right? Not so fast. We happen to be in the middle of Labor Day weekend. Although that means an extra day off work for many of us, it also impacts the Sunday evening TV schedule.
Rather than risk a ratings plunge as many viewers are vacationing this weekend, AMC has postponed Fear the Walking Dead Episode 3 ‘The Dog’ until a week from tonight. That means the third episode and midway point of the first season will premiere on Sunday, September 13.
This move makes all the sense in the world if you crack open a calendar and start jumping ahead several weeks. By offsetting Fear the Walking Dead by seven days, the first season’s finale (Episode 6) will air on Sunday, October 4. The Walking Dead Season 6 is scheduled to premiere a week later on October 11. Coincidence? Not even remotely.
So put the zombie apocalypse on hold this weekend and set the DVR for a week from tonight. Travis, Madison and the gang are taking a breather.
Here’s a sneak peek clip from ‘The Dog’ that builds tension after the lights went out to help tide you over.
