The season finale of HBO’s True Detective Season 2 tonight presented an extra special treat that has me ready to saddle up and ride off into the old west. That treat is now online and I highly recommend you give the first Westworld teaser trailer a few watches below at minimum.
Westworld is based off Michael Crichton’s 1973 movie that shares the same name. It’s a mishmash of the old west and science fiction that the roughly 30 seconds of footage packed into the crazy trailer does a fantastic job of illustrating.
If you’re already intrigued then get a load of the Westworld cast that includes Anthony Hopkins, Ed Harris, Evan Rachel Wood, James Marsden, Thandie Newton, Jeffrey Wright, Sidse Babett Knudsen, Rodrigo Santoro, Shannon Woodward, Ingrid Bolsø Berdal, Ben Barnes, Jimmi Simpson, Clifton Collins, Jr., Simon Quarterman and Angela Sarafyan.
Unfortunately, HBO won’t be premiering Westworld until 2016 so try to holster any excitement this trailer stimulates.
