WarnerMedia have extended their HBO Max discount deal that offers over 20 percent off a 6-month subscription.
Previously this deal was set to expire today on January 15th, 2021. It will now expire on March 1st instead, providing an additional month-and-a-half to take advantage of.
The terms of the deal when accepted remain unchanged. You can buy 6 months of HBO Max for $69.99, which would normally cost $90 if you spent $14.99 per month without the deal. The catch is you have to pay the entire amount upfront, and there are absolutely no refunds under any circumstance.
Speculatively the reason WarnerMedia are extending this offer may be due to not achieving desired subscriptions during the initial period that crossed over with the December 25th simultaneous release of Wonder Woman 1984 on HBO Max and in theaters.
It could also be that WarnerMedia wants to push harder to build up their streaming platform and continue to attract the stay-at-home crowd as the slower distribution of the COVID-19 vaccine continues to keep moviegoers away from cinemas.
