The Game of Thrones final season premiere is a little over four weeks away. Rumors are swirling everywhere about how long each episode is and who might ultimately end up sitting on the Iron Throne.
Obviously HBO or anyone involved with the series won’t spill the beans and face legal ramifications for letting blatant spoilers slip. They can — and did — do the next best thing.
All along HBO has been promising that each of the six final Game of Thrones episodes is roughly the length of a feature-length movie. Now they’ve backed up those claims by releasing the air date schedule and episode lengths i.e. run times that you can expect from the Season 8 mid-April premiere through to the season finale.
The first two episodes are just under an hour each, while the last four average 80 minutes each.
You can safely circle Sunday, May 19th as the Game of Thrones series finale release date.
