AMC is wishing you a Happy New Year on New Year’s Eve in the form of the first The Walking Dead Season 6 midseason premiere trailer. Grab a glass, pop the cork and see what lies ahead for Rick Grimes and the residents of Alexandria.
In the midseason finale coda, Daryl, Sasha and Abraham were stopped on the way back to Alexandria by a group of bikers with a straightforward message. Their belongings were now the property of Negan (Jeffrey Dean Morgan), and with that message from the Saviors the table was set for a new menace to board the series.
Back at Alexandria, Rick and his group of survivors were attempting the “covered in walker guts” maneuver to get through the same hoard of walkers they’ve been trying desperately to rid themselves of since the Season 6 premiere. Rick obviously survives this daunting escape as evidenced by his admittance that he was wrong about being safe in Alexandria.
Meanwhile Glenn is finally within eyesight of Maggie but there’s several hundred walkers between them. Will he save her, or will Glenn’s epic journey to reach his wife come up just short?
