Clancy Brown Joins The Flash in Recurring Role

Clancy Brown The Flash

Clancy Brown has enlisted in The CW’s Flash for a recurring role that will have him seeking to catch a superhero and exploit her powers.

Brown will slip into the role of General Wade Eiling, the leader of a dangerous Black Ops team that arrives in Central City to capture Plastique (Kelly Frye). The General, as he’s also known, wants to use Plastique as a human weapon of destruction in his quest to protect Americans in the wake of supernatural beings resulting from the particle accelerator blast at S.T.A.R Labs.

The Flash creative team have lifted General Wade Eiling straight from the pages of DC Comics. He’s also appeared in the Justice League Unlimited animated TV series.

Brown is no stranger to the world of DC Comics. He recently provided the voice of Lex Luthor to the upcoming Lego Batman 3: Beyond Gotham video game and voiced Zartok in Green Lantern: The Animated Series. His voice work is extensive including multiple roles in Star Wars: The Clone Wars, Transformers Prime, and SpongeBob SquarePants, among many other roles.

The early episodes of The Flash are slowly starting to come together. Brown’s The General will make his debut in the fifth episode, one episode after Felicity (Emily Bett Rickards) pays a visit to Central City and after Captain Cold (Wentworth Miller) and half of Firestorm (Robbie Amell) are introduced. Two episodes later is when The Clock King arrives, followed immediately by a crossover event with Arrow in episode eight.

Catch The Flash premiere if you can when it speeds onto The CW on October 7.
