AMC has finally revealed the Better Call Saul Season 4 premiere date following several months of zilch on the Breaking Bad prequel’s next chapter.
Jimmy McGill will continue his transformation into Saul Goodman with 10 all-new episodes beginning Monday, August 6th at 9/8c.
Rather than wait until then to learn the fate of Jimmy’s brother, Chuck, AMC has already confirmed that Chuck perished in the house fire that concluded Season 3. The loss of Chuck will not only profoundly impact Jimmy, but Howard and Kim’s relationship as well.
Yesterday AMC sent Better Call Saul fans on a goose chase around their social media accounts and a viral website to unlock the first image from Season 4 — seen above. You may recognize “The Cousins” aka Leonel and Marco Salamanca. They’ll surely be out for blood from Nacho and others after what happened to uncle Hector in Season 3.
Here’s a second Season 4 image featuring Jimmy from Episode 402.
Gus Fring fans will happy to know that yes, the Los Pollos Hermanos kingpin will return in Season 4 and continue to influence the path of both Jimmy and Mike Ehrmantraut.
Here’s the Better Call Saul Season 4 synopsis:
In the all-new season, Chuck’s death catalyzes Jimmy McGill’s transformation into Saul Goodman. In the wake of his loss, Jimmy takes steps into the criminal world that will put his future as a lawyer – and his relationship with Kim – in jeopardy. Chuck’s death deeply affects former colleagues Howard and Kim as well, putting the two of them once again on opposite sides of a battle sparked by the Brothers McGill.
Meanwhile, Mike Ehrmantraut takes a more active role as Madrigal Electromotive’s newest (and most thorough) security consultant. It’s a volatile time to be in Gus Fring’s employ, as Hector’s collapse sends shock waves throughout the Albuquerque underworld and throws the cartel into chaos – tearing apart both Gus and Nacho’s well-laid plans. While Gus changes course, Nacho finds himself in the crosshairs of deadly forces.
