American Horror Story: Freak Show Enlists World’s Smallest Living Woman

American Horror Story Freak Show World's Smallest Woman

The world’s smallest living woman has booked a stint on FX’s American Horror Story: Freak Show and appears delighted to be joined such esteemed company.

Series showrunner Ryan Murphy used the power of social media to make the announcement by sharing an image on Twitter of the diminutive Jyoti Amge posing with legendary actress and AHS fixture, Jessica Lange. Both are all smiles posing from the set of FX’s darling horror anthology that gains momentum with each additional story told.

Amge was declared the world’s smallest living woman on her 18th birthday in 2011 at a incredible 2 feet, one-half inches tall by the Guinness Book of World Records.

Lange plays the manager of one of the last operational freak shows  left in North America during the 1950s. She will undoubtedly be under pressure to close the doors, and if past seasons are any indication, she or the show’s living attractions won’t simply walk away without a fight.

Returning to co-star in Freak Show alongside Lang are Angela Bassett, Kathy Bates, Evan Peters, Emma Roberts, Denis O’Hare, Sarah Paulson, Frances Conroy and Gabrielle Sidibe. Newcomers include Michael Chiklis and Patti LaBelle, among others.

FX will roll out the American Horror Story: Freak Show sometime in October. Expect a precise premiere date to be revealed in the coming weeks.
