The official CBS All Access for The Stand reads, “The Stand is Stephen King’s apocalyptic vision of a world decimated by plague and embroiled in an elemental struggle between good and evil. The Stand will close with a new coda written by the famed author himself.”
The mention of a new coda means that Stephen King could potentially choose to setup continued stories should this limited event series prove popular.
