‘X-Men: The Last Stand’ Will Go Blu on November 14

We told ya so.

Fox Senior VP of Marketing Steve Feldstein today told The Hollywood Reporter that ‘X-Men: The Last Stand’ on Blu-ray Disc will in fact be on store shelves November 14 to take advantage of Playstation 3’s release three days later. We first reported this news well over a month ago and couldn’t be more pleased to see it panned out.

According to the article you can expect five-star treatment of Fox’s coveted franchise in high defintion, starting with 1080p video with AVC or MPEG-4 compression and capping with 6.1 DTS ES HD Lossless Master Audio. All extra features will be in high definition and include two commentary tracks: one from director Brett Ratner with writers Zak Penn and Simon Kinberg, the other with producers Avi Arad, Lauren Shuler Donner and Ralph Winter); 12 alternate or extended scenes; and a “Marvel Trivia Track” consisting of color graphics that pop up throughout the film with inside information on characters and events in the Marvel universe. With that lineup we’d expect a BD-50 disc for certain, though the Hollywood Reporter article makes no mention of it.

‘X-Men: The Last Stand’ will carry an SRP of $39.98. We hope to have the cover art later today so check back often.
