Blizzard’s upcoming position under the growing Activision umbrella is likely responsible for a new free downloadable Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock track.
Starting tomorrow, June 26, owners of the Xbox 360 or Playstation 3 version of Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock will be able to grab the track “I am Murloc” off Xbox Live or the Playstation Network, respectively.
What is “I am Murloc,” you wonder? World of Warcraft players will recognize the song as a “…tongue-in-cheek tribute to the beloved race of fish-people by Blizzard Entertainment’s house band, Level 70 Elite Tauren Chieftain.” It debuted at BlizzCon 2005 and remains popular today.
