The Walking Dead first season finale is less than two days old and already a casting rumor has popped up for the second season. Make that a cameo rumor, and a strange one at that.
According to an unconfirmed report at Socyberty, Charlie Sheen’s publicist has confirmed to them that the actor has landed a cameo role as a zombie walker in an early season two episode. Apparently Sheen digs the show and just happens to share a publicist with cast member Jeffrey DeMunn. A phone call to the producer and just like that, he’s in.
This sounds more like a wishful conversation that would have happened at happy hour rather than the consummation of a legitimate business deal. Let’s say it does pan out and Sheen is set to appear. Will other celebrities come knocking for zombie cameos free-of-charge? For the sake of not cheapening the show to accommodate Hollywood favors, I certainly hope not.
