The man behind Rare’s Conker’s Bad Fur Day, Chris Seavor, has shaerd a brief glimpse of his latest project that is coming to the Nintendo eShop exclusively for Wii U, The Unlikely Legend of Rusty Pup.
The tease came via Seavor’s Twitter account yesterday and is in the form of a gameplay snippet on Vine. It shows Rusty Pup in all his 2D-platforming glory, with 3D models built within the 2D world. It’s visually distinctive and, given Seavor’s track record, should be a heck of a lot of fun to play.
The game’s influence apparently draws from Lemmings and various virtual pet management games. Rusty Pup will also be able to help shape his surroundings by the choices he makes. To what extent we simply don’t know yet.
The Unlikely Legend of Rusty Pup doesn’t have a firm release date yet. Maybe when Seavor is done he’ll think about returning to Conker and bring the foul-mouthed squirrel into the next generation.
…. Game over (but we're not going to call it that are we……..) Yes, we are !! https://t.co/NawX7DpUpD
