Nintendo’s new Wii U console has only been available five days thus far so it’s hard to imagine stores have already restocked the mostly sold out console. That’s exactly what appears to have happened at Target just ahead of the Black Friday madness to come.
While checking online, I noticed that more than half of the Target stores around my zip code showed the Wii U as being “in stock.” Target’s online checker is usually pretty accurate so if it says the Wii U is in stock, I tend to believe it, especially since it showed all stores as being out of stock on Monday.
As far as how many Wii U’s Target will have, your guess is as good as mine. Your closest Target may have Wii U’s in stock or they may not. You might want to call ahead and find out or head to Target.com and check the basic and deluxe Wii U’s stock status.
If you do plan on picking up a Wii U this Black Friday or shortly thereafter, keep in mind that Toys R Us has a doorbuster deal tonight that is offering 40 percent off any Wii U game with the purchase of another Wii U game at full price. Kiss all the Toys R Us inventory for New Super Mario Bros. U and ZombieU goodbye for this weekend.
Best of luck on locating a Wii U if that’s what your after this Black Friday.
